Yves Bonavero is the author of
“Something
in the Sea”. He was born and raised in Paris. When he was 23, Yves moved to
London, and worked in the City for 14 years. At the age of 37, he left the City
to pursue his interest in Film, and went on to found Bonaparte Films, which
made “Waking
Ned”, “A Merry
War”, and “The Trench”.
However, Yves Bonavero wasn’t interested in an Irvine Welsh script, and became
known in the industry as the man who turned down “Trainspotting”.
In 1996, Yves went to Oxford to study Philosophy and German, and graduated with
a first class degree in 1999 (Harris Manchester College). He began to write
psychological thrillers after being encouraged by his Oxford literature tutors.
Yves Bonavero is the former CEO of E. D. & F. Man (now called Man Group
PLC), and is a non-executive director of Doric Capital. Yves Bonavero lives in
London with his family.
