Author Uma Girish comes from Chennai. 'I am an
award-winning freelance writer who has been internationally published. I write
fiction and non-fiction and have been published in seven countries. My
non-fiction has appeared in "Christian Science Monitor", "Good
Housekeeping", "Women's eNews", "Emirates Woman",
"Solitaire", "Tots to Teens", "Yummy Mummy" and
"Gurlz", to name a few. My short stories and personal essays have
