“The Motel Life” is the title
of Willy Vlautin’s debut novel. Frank and Jerry Lee take to the road after
Jerry is the perpetrator of a hit and run incident. Both brothers feel
entrapped, despite each of them having a creative outlet: one is a storyteller,
and the other is an artist. Will the kid’s death act as a catharsis, or will it
drive them into further misery? Can Annie James, a girl from their past, offer
redemption? The novel is also interspersed by excellent illustrations. To find
out more about the author, you must visit our Willy Vlautin page.
