R. T. Raichev is the author of
“The
Hunt for Sonya Dufrette”. The following details are from the author: “I am
38 and of Bulgarian descent. I live in London and have worked as a researcher.
I read English literature at university and wrote a dissertation on the English
detective story between the wars. Apart from "Sonya Dufrette", I have
written 3 other detective novels, all of them featuring (the) amateur sleuthing
tandem, Antonia and Hugh Payne. Titles, in chronological order: "The Death of
Corinne", "Assassins at Ospreys", and "The Little
Victim". With the exception of "The Little Victim" (which is set
in Goa, where Antonia and Hugh find themselves investigating the death of a
high-class hooker), they all revolve round English country houses. The novels
are whodunnits and with them I pay homage to the Golden Age of English
detective fiction. Constable are interesting in publishing all of them.”
Authortrek reader John T.
Cheney writes: “I've just started my 2nd RT Raichev novel and like the
first, I can't stop reading it.
The atmosphere is slightly old-fashioned, in a good way, but it takes
place in the here and now, which I also like. There's something about his stories that suck you in and
won't let you go.
Needless to say, I've ordered
all his books. Glad I found out
about him.”
