Michael Smith is the author of
“The Giro
Playboy”, and the art book “Drawings:
Simple, Obscure and Obtuse”. Michael Smith was born in London, but raised
in Hartlepool. He is a columnist for “Good for Nothing” magazine. He has
performed extracts from the novel, and also put pamphlets into pizza boxes to
promote the novel. His desire is to make writing an essential part of pop
culture. Michael Smith previously lived in Brighton where he painted, wrote,
and got by on ‘crap’ jobs. He now lives in London, where he is working on his 2nd
novel, “The Birds”.
