Robson interview
Mark was born in Wantage in 1966,
but was mostly brought up in the Welsh town of Carmarthen. In 1982 he joined
the RAF, and has spent most of his career as an operational pilot and flying
instructor. He first wrote during a boring posting to the Falklands in 1995
(weather too bad for flying). His navigator saw that he was bored and told him
to “Go write a book or something!” The rest is literary history. He self-published his first 4 books,
which are collectively known as “The Darkweaver Legacy”. He sold more than
20,000 copies of the books through Waterstones and WH Smiths. This success led
him to getting representation from the Mulcahy and Viney literary agency. His
agents then procured a five figure two book deal from Simon & Schuster. His
next novel, “Imperial Spy”, will be released in 2006. Mark also puts a great deal of effort in encouraging
children to read and write fiction, and has run writing competitions for
children. We at authortrek wish to congratulate Mark on his deserved success,
as we have been following his career for years.
