Mark McNay page

 

Mark McNay is the author of “Fresh” (Canongate, 2007). Mark McNay was born in Scotland, and was brought up in a former mining village. He moved to England in 1984, when he was 16. Mark has had a variety of jobs, including factory work, building work, window cleaning, and he has also spent several years on the dole. Mark McNay is a recent graduate of the famous University of East Anglia Creative Writing Course. In 2007, he was the recipient of the Arts Foundation Fellowship for New Fiction. He currently lives in Norwich, working with people suffering from mental health problems.
