Mark Gimenez is the author of “The Colour of Law”.
He grew up in Galveston County, Texas. Mark Gimenez studied at Texas State
University-San Marcos for his BA, before attending law school at Notre Dame, in
Indiana. Before law school, Mark had never met a lawyer, but in his childhood
his mother had held up Atticus Finch from “To Kill a Mockingbird” as an ideal
role model. Also like the hero of “The Colour of Law”, Mark Gimenez used to be
a partner in a major Dallas law firm, although the novel is not otherwise
autobiographical. Mark Gimenez now has his own law practice, as well as his
burgeoning writing career. He lives with his family just outside Fort Worth.
