Lucy Caldwell is the author of
“Where
They Were Missed” and the play “Leaves”
(2007), for which she won the 2006 George Devine Award. Lucy was born in
Belfast in 1981, which looks to have influenced the setting of her first novel.
She read English at Queens’ College, Cambridge. She later graduated from
Goldsmith’s MA in Creative and Life Writing. In 2005, she won the PMA Award for
playwrights (sponsored by the Peggy Ramsay Foundation). At the time of writing,
she is on attachment to the National Theatre Studio.
