Lucy Sheridan was born in Germany in 1976. "I'm
a true Gemini born in the year of the Dragon. Raised in a very rural area in
mid-Germany. Studied Librarianship because I love books and
have been working in that profession since 2000. I love every aspect of books -
reading, writing, binding, restoring them. I learned to read at age 4, and my
Mum used to say that to keep me quiet, she just had to find something with
words written on it and I would be totally absorbed in absorbing it. Apart from
that, my other love is art - I like to illustrate my own stories. I've always
been a visual person - if I can visualize, I can understand.
My main ambition at the moment is to move to the UK. It has
been my dream for years because I somehow feel more "at home" in the
UK. That's one of the reasons why I am writing more and more of my stories in
English - because it's both a way of practicing and a better way to express
myself."
