Kirsty Scott is the author of
the novels “Mother’s
Day” and “Between
You and Me”. She is the Scottish correspondent for “The Guardian”. She has
an MA from Edinburgh University, and also a degree in Mass Communication from
Arizona State University. From 1990 to 1999, she worked for “The Scottish
Herald” as a reporter, feature writer, and columnist. In 1995 she presented the
BBC Scotland weekend show, and regularly contributes to BBC Scotland on current
affairs. In 1999, she was runner-up in the Bank of Scotland press awards in the
“Columnist of the Year” category, and was a commended feature writer the
previous year. “Mother’s Day” is Kirsty Scott’s debut novel.
