James Brindle is the author of the excellent short
story "The Big
Deal", published on east of the web. According to his biography on
east of the web, "he grew up in a garden containing a hedge maze and a
workshop where his dad made boomerangs" in his home town of Shefford,
Bedfordshire. After a bit of Googling, I can confirm that this is not a wild
bit of fantasising on James Brindle's part, but is, in fact, true. Hoo Hill Maze was built by James
Brindle's father, who also sold the aforementioned boomerangs at a stall in
Covent Garden, which is where James Brindle first worked. James Brindle is having a short story/novella published in a forthcoming small-press anthology of dark fantasy/horror. The publication is called Dark Distortions I, and is being published by Scotopia Press (Website: www.scotopiapress.com). The story is the first part in a series of three novellas called "The Fall of the Angel Nathalie".
