Harriet Vyner is the author of
“Among Ruins”,
which “The Bookseller” has said is quite autobiographical in places. Harriet
Vyner grew up in London, Yorkshire, and Sussex. Along with Jools Holland, she
wrote “Beat Route”. She has also worked on a screenplay about Albert
Pierrepoint, the last hangman. In 1999, “Groovy Bob”,
her biography of her friend Robert Fraser, was published. In addition to this,
Harriet Vyner has worked on a documentary about Francis Bacon. Harriet Vyner is
a trustee of the Hoping
Foundation, a charity she set up with Bella Freud (amongst others) to help
Palestinian refugee children. Harriet Vyner lives in London.
