Elizabeth Irene Baitie, from Ghana, won the Junior
Award in the 2005/2006 Macmillan Writers' Prize for Africa for "A Saint
with Brown Sandals" (July 2006). She was also shortlisted for the
Senior Award in 2004 with "Lea's Christmas".
