“Electricity” is the title of
Ray Robinson’s debut novel. Thirty-year-old Lily lives in a Northern seaside
town. She works in an amusement arcade, but most of the sparks in her life come
from her epilepsy. However, Lily deals with life in a practical, down-to-earth
way. But then her world changes when her mother dies. She’s reunited with one
brother, and hopes to track down the other. Now that Lily is no longer alone,
she finds out that she has a lot to learn…Ray Robinson imaginatively presents
the epilepsy through changes in fonts and word alignment, so that the reader is
