“Cold Skin” is by Albert Sanchez Pinol. In the years following World War One, a young British weather official is to a tiny Antarctic island. He soon discovers that the island is not as deserted as it seems, for he has a neighbour: the feral Gruner. Gruner has even tamed one of the female amphibians to be his sex slave and servant. Unfortunately, this drives Gruner over the edge… To find out more about the author, you must visit our Albert Sanchez Pinol page.
