A
journalist by trade, Carol Clewlow’s first publication at the end of the 1970s was
a travel guide Hong Kong
and Macao, only the second published by the now famous Lonely Planet
company. Her first novel, Keeping
the Faith, ten years later was shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize, while
her second, the best selling A Woman's
Guide to Adultery was translated into 15 languages and turned into a TV
mini series. A further novel Love in
the Modern Sense plus a number of her short stories have been read on BBC Radio
4. A version of the fourth, One For
The Money, was performed as at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her latest novel,
Not
Married, Not Bothered, a bestseller in the UK at the end of 2005 has now
also appeared in several European countries and is one of a number of novels
chosen to appear as an e-book by publishers Harper Collins.
