“Blue Man Falling” is the debut novel of Frank Barnard. It’s the story of 2 RAF pilots, the English Kit Curtis, and the American, Ossie Wolf. We made some errors in our previous overview of this novel, and have been sent the following correction by the author himself: “The story is set within the context of real events but all the adventures that my characters go through are almost entirely fiction, although some events like the sinking of the troopship Lancastria are of course real...My imaginary unit... remained in France until well into June 1940 until forced to retreat from Brittany by the Germans who had already been in occupation in Paris for some time. This was a period of which such details are far less well-known than the Battle of Britain and that was what caught my interest in the first place.” For more information about the author, you must visit our Frank Barnard page.
