Adrian Weston is 40 years old and lives in Brighton. He has recently been accepted as a client by the literary agency Pollinger Ltd. He has written a children’s novel called “The Symbol Stone”, which is the first book in a fantasy trilogy called “The Pictish Chronicle”.  We at Authortrek have liked the extracts that we have read so far, which have more than a hint of Susan Cooper’s “The Dark is Rising” about them – and that’s no bad thing. We think that Adrian has chosen his subject matter very well, as the Picts are especially intriguing. Adrian has previously worked as a journalist, a broadcaster, and as an arts administrator. He currently runs a PR and marketing agency called Raft. He has had short stories published in the journals “Meanjin” and “Westerly”, and in anthologies such as “The Ten Commandments” (published by Serpents Tail). Adrian is also a talented musician, and plays sax and flute for “Carnival Collective”.
