Adam Marek was born in 1974. He
came 2nd in the 2005 Bridport Prize with “Robot Wasps”, after having
previous won one of the competition’s supplementary prizes with “The 40-litre
Monkey” in 2003. He was also a runner up in the 2004 Douglas Coupland Award
with “Bobby
and Sunny Li” (pdf format). Adam Marek has been writing since he was a
teenager. He has recently finished a collection of short stories, and is now
working on his debut novel. He worked in the music video industry for a few
years, but now works as part of the Editorial Team for the Royal Society for
the Protection of Birds. Adam Marek lives in Bedfordshire with his family.
